BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao accused the Congress in the state of “ill-treating” students by failing to deliver on election promises, withholding fee reimbursement dues, and unleashing police force against youth protests.
In a post on his social media handle, Rao said the state government’s response to student agitations had exposed its disregard for their aspirations.
Sharing a video on police action on
students, Rao alleged that after students took to the streets following the government’s failure to fulfill its promise of “two lakh jobs a year”, the ruling dispensation responded with “police brutality” instead of accountability.
Rao further alleged that the state government had attempted to “grab university land for real estate,” and added: “For you, it was never really about the students. You are merely using them as political pawns.”
