Ramagundam Commissionerate Police handed over 120 mobile phones, worth around Rs 18 lakh, to their rightful owners during a mobile phone recovery mela held at the Commissionerate office in Godavarikhani on Wednesday.

The mela was organised to return mobile phones recovered by the Crime Control Station (CCS) and IT Cell



teams, under the supervision of CCS Inspector Sri Babu Rao. Commissioner of Police Ambar Kishore Jha personally handed over the devices to the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner explained the use of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, which helps trace lost or stolen mobile phones.
