Rains lash Hyderabad again, triggering waterlogging and reservoir outflows

After a brief hiatus, rains returned to lash the city on Saturday evening. And the sight of waterlogged streets and traffic chaos in the city returned too.

Several areas in the city and suburbs including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Lakdi-ka-pul, Abids,



Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Hayatnagar, Miyapur, and Balanagar, experienced heavy rainfall. Areas in the IT corridor, such as Hitec City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, and Manikonda, also reported significant rain.

HMWSSB lifted the gates of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar due to the heavy inflows from upstream areas.
