The India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad has predicted light to moderate rain and thunderstorms across Telangana over the next few days. Hyderabad and several other districts are likely to witness rain and gusty winds.
On May 19, the weather in Hyderabad was recorded at 29°C with 70% humidity and east-southeasterly winds blowing at 9.3 km/h. The IMD forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely in a few areas of the State on Monday. Maximum temperatures likely to be below normal by 3-5 °C during next 3 days.
Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds with speeds of 30-40 km/h are likely to occur in isolated places across the State, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy,
Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, and several other districts.
According to the weather department, rain activity is expected to increase till Friday ie, May 23. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in many places across Telangana during this period. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds will continue to be a risk in all districts.
The IMD forecast for Monday predicts thunderstorm accompanied with Lightning and gusty winds for Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.
