Rain, hailstorms lash Siddipet in Telangana

Rains coupled with hailstorms lashed several parts of the erstwhile Medak district on Sunday.

Farmers in Siddipet in particular suffered the most as rainwater flooded the paddy procurement centres.

Farmers found it difficult to salvage the harvested paddy from



the rainwater.

Meanwhile, standing crops were also damaged at several places.

The unseasonal rains have continued to haunt the farmers of the district as rains and hailstorms damaged the crops multiple times during April and May, causing great losses to the farmers.
