The Rachakonda Police recovered as many as 1,130 mobile phones which were either lost or stolen reportedly worth Rs 3 crore.

They are expected to be handed over to their owners on Tuesday.

Various wings of Rachakonda Police in collaborative efforts recovered the phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

urged citizens to report lost mobile phones either at their nearest police station or directly through the CEIR portal, which was accessible online.

Using the CEIR portal helps prevent the misuse of stolen phones and facilitates their swift recovery, he said.

So far, this year, the Rachakonda Police have recovered a total of 1,800 mobile phones and handed them over to their owners.
