Rachakonda police nab 151 for drunk driving

A total of 40 persons caught by the Rachakonda Traffic Police for drunk driving were sentenced to imprisonment by a local court here on Monday.

They were sentenced for durations ranging from one day to 15 days.

The Traffic Police caught 151 persons for drunken driving during regular drive from



Sunday midnight to Monday wee hours at various places across all the zones in the commissionerate. Officials said all those caught were produced before the court. While the court imposed fines on 111 persons, 40 were sentenced to imprisonment and six were asked to take part in community service as punishment.
