Punjagutta ASI Loses Rs 49K to Cyber Fraud 'Fake RTA Challan'

As per reports, ASI Narasayya lost Rs 49,139 from his bank account after fraudsters sent him a malicious APK file under the guise of an RTA challan



notification. 

Clicking the file gave scammers access to his phone, enabling unauthorized deductions from his bank account. After noticing continuous withdrawals, the ASI immediately lodged a complaint with the national cybercrime helpline number 1930 and the local Cyber Crime Police. 

A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
