All private degree and postgraduate (PG) colleges in Telangana will remain closed today. According to reports, the managements of private colleges and educational institutions have called for a bandh demanding the immediate release of long-pending fee reimbursement dues from the state government.

The decision was taken by the Telangana Private PG and Degree Management Association (TPGDMA).

PGDMA president B. Suryanarayana Reddy said private colleges are

facing a severe financial crisis due to delays in the release of fee reimbursement funds.

He expressed concern that managing the colleges and paying employee salaries has become increasingly difficult, putting the future of these institutions at risk.

Suryanarayana Reddy said private higher education institutions are on the verge of closure and that the families of college employees are facing financial difficulties as salaries have not been paid.
