A prisoner briefly escaped from Cherlapally Central Prison in Hyderabad on Sunday while on wall painting duty inside the prison. He was apprehended shortly after, following a swift response from jail officials and local police teams.
The inmate, a native of Bihar, had been assigned the task
of painting walls. Taking advantage of the assignment, he scaled the boundary wall and fled.
Jail officials discovered his absence soon after and launched a manhunt, forming special teams and coordinating with local police. The prisoner was later traced and returned to custody.
