Premium Defense Liquor Bottles Seized in Hyderabad

Telangana Prohibition and Excise department has seized premium defense liquor bottles worth Rs.10 lakh after detaining a retired army employee. 

The bottles were brought from Bengaluru and Haryana defense canteens. Following information, an excise team led by Excise Superintendent J Jeevan Kiran seized 361 premium liquor bottles hidden in a house in



Hastinapuram early Tuesday. 

The value of the seized liquor bottles is estimated to be Rs. 10 lakh. During the inquiry, the excise officials found that the retired army employee Dodla Suresh Reddy (48) was bringing expensive premium liquor from defense canteens in Bangalore and Haryana to Hyderabad and selling it to influential people here.
