Days after four persons lost their lives due to electrocution, the latest incident being in the Lal Bazar locality, power supply officials have urged people to be extremely vigilant during natural calamities, severe storms and heavy rains.

They should call the TGSPDCL helpline 1912 if they notice any snapped electrical wires, fallen electric poles or other hazardous electrical situations.

Authorities have also appealed to people not to attempt to touch, remove or repair electrical wires or other electrical equipment on their own. Such actions can lead

to fatal accidents, the TGSPDCL cautioned.

On the tragic incident at Lal Bazar, in which a man and his daughter were electrocuted, the officials said that due to the severe storm and strong winds that occurred at approximately 2.45 a.m. on Friday, several trees were uprooted across various parts of Greater Hyderabad.

A large tree fell on a parked car near House No. 1-30-24/7, Road No. 7, Telecom Colony under Lal Bazar Section limits. As a result, a streetlight power cable also snapped and fell onto the car along with the tree branches.
