Ponnam 'Rainwater Harvesting Must Be Taken Up as Social Responsibility'

Calling upon every citizen to ensure that every drop of rainwater percolates into the ground and to take up rainwater harvesting as a social responsibility, Minister for Transport, BC Welfare and Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar appealed to all to participate in groundwater conservation. 

The Minister inaugurated the rainwater recharge pits established at the



University College of Science, Saifabad, planted saplings and participated in the Rainwater Harvesting Awareness Programme.

While the college NCC cadets presented a guard of honour, the Minister administered the Water Conservation Pledge, released an awareness brochure and felicitated the winners of the essay writing and elocution competitions organised by the college on rainwater harvesting.
