Police Recruitment Applications Close With 5.77 Lakh Applications

The application deadline for various posts announced by the police department ended on Thursday with 5,77,064 applications, V.V. Srinivasa Rao, chairman of the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), said in a statement. 

The notification was released on August 19. Of them, 4,30,844 were men and 1,46,220 women. 

On July 29, the board ahd issued four job notifications for the direct recruitment of various posts across the police,



Special Protection Force, fire and disaster response, emergency and civil Ddefence, and prisons departments.

The notifications were for 200 sub-inspector (SI), 4,800 assistant sub-inspector (ASI), and 5,000 constable-level posts. 

For the SI posts, 1,18,915 men and 41,841 had women applied; 9,076 men and 2,916 women for the ASI posts; 2,87,893 men and 1,01,463 women for the constable posts; 12,495 persons for the driver posts; and 2,465 for the mechanic post.
