Police invokes PD Act against a ganja smuggler in Kothagudem

Kothagudem police in the district invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against a ganja smuggler involved in several cases.

Acting on the directions of SP B Rohith Raju and Kothagudem DSP Shaik Abdul Rahaman, Julurpad CI D Sree Lakshmi submitted documents to higher authorities for invoking the PD Act against the accused, D

Cases were registered against the accused at Burgampad, Julurpad, and Balanagar in Hyderabad for smuggling ganja.

Orders were issued on October 23 by higher officials invoking the PD Act against the accused, who continued ganja smuggling even after release from jail.
