Police detain Sabitha on way to visit Shabad murder victim's kin

Tension prevailed on the Shabad road on Saturday after police stopped former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy at the Chevella-Malkapur Gate while she was on her way to meet the families of the victims in the Shabad multiple murder case.

After preventing her from proceeding to Shabad, the police took her into custody and



shifted her to another location.

The move came amid tight security arrangements in the area following the recent killings.

Meanwhile, additional police forces have been deployed in Shabad mandal following the incident. Senior officials are camping in the area to prevent any law and order breakdown.
