POCSO accused Bageerath faces fresh charge for alleged destruction of evidence

In a latest development in the POCSO case involving Sai Bageerath, the police have reportedly found that the suspect, allegedly destroyed evidence linked to the investigation.

According to police sources, an additional charge under BNS Section 238 for destruction of evidence has been added against the him.

Police suspect that Bageerath deliberately erased digital evidence while



absconding and later surrendering to police as part of a planned move.

During questioning, he allegedly handed over only an empty mobile phone to investigators. When asked about the SIM card, he reportedly claimed he had misplaced it.

Police also suspect that key data, including videos stored on his iPhone, had been deleted, and that his social media accounts were removed to conceal evidence.
