Launching a sharp attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said people cannot expect welfare or development from a leader who claims German dictator Adolf Hitler as his inspiration. Addressing the BRS general body meeting in Vemulawada, Rama Rao said the first half of the Congress government’s term had been a complete failure and that people had no faith in the second phase either.
Highlighting the achievements of the previous BRS government under K Chandrashekhar Rao, he said several welfare and development programmes were implemented during its 10-year tenure. He cited the conduct of
over 15 lakh marriages, establishment of medical colleges and Gurukul schools, and the construction of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
Questioning the Congress government’s record, Rama Rao alleged that the state had been pushed deeper into debt without delivering meaningful benefits to people. “Rythu Bandhu scheme has been weakened and Rahul Bandhu scheme has been launched. Telangana’s resources are being looted,” he said.
He urged party workers to identify duplicate and ineligible votes and work towards securing majorities in their respective polling booths.
