Pension for single women from April 1

Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender said that pensions would be given to widows, joginis, destitute and single women from April 1.
With a view to extending financial support to single women, the State government has taken this decision, the Minister told reporters here on Saturday. He said construction of double bedroom houses would start



after the State Budget sessions. The houses would be taken up on the lines of Chinnamulkanoor, the village adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekahar Rao.
When asked about the allocations in the Budget, Rajender said it would be prepared keeping in the mind demonetisation, impact of GST, proposed abolition of non-plan Budget and various taxes.
