Consumers of various agencies continue to face inconvenience due to an alleged shortage of LPG cylinders across the erstwhile Adilabad district.

They queued up for LPG cylinders by placing footwear at an agency in Bhainsa on Tuesday, reflecting the gravity of the crisis.

Amid a shortage of cylinders attributed to the West Asia conflict, consumers at an LPG agency formed serpentine queues to book cylinders, while others gathered at the outlet from early morning to collect them.

Many placed slippers to mark their presence and ensure they did not miss the opportunity to secure cylinders.

Consumers said they were forced to wait for long hours at the agency both to place orders and to collect cylinders. Those who had already booked cylinders were also seen waiting at the outlet to receive them.

They expressed displeasure over the prolonged waiting time, which affected their day-to-day work, and urged the government to take steps to address the scarcity.
