PACs elections on February 15

The State Cooperative Election Authority released the election schedule for Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies and Farmers Service Cooperatives in the State on Thursday. The elections will be held on February 15.

In all, 906 of the 909 PACs in 32 districts will go for elections as one each in erstwhile Nalgonda, Rangareddy and Warangal districts have not been included in the schedule. As per the statement issued by the Additional Registrar of State Cooperative Election Authority, the initiative follows the State government’s request to the authority to conduct elections to constitute the managing



committees of the PACs and Farmers Service Cooperatives.

Election officers, to be appointed by District Collectors, will conduct the polls by secret ballot as per the provisions of the Telangana Cooperative Societies Act.
