Over 5,000 newly appointed licensed surveyors from across Telangana met BRS working president KT Rama Rao at his Nandinagar residence on Thursday, alleging that the Congress government had failed to provide work or salary despite appointing them months ago.
After being selected under the new land records system of Bhu Bharathi brought in to replace the Dharani portal, the surveyors were issued licences without clear work allotment.
As a result, many
of them were facing financial hardship and struggling to support their families due to lack of regular income.
During their meeting, the licensed surveyors told Rama Rao that they were being asked to report to MRO offices daily but were made to sit without being assigned any duties.
They also alleged that there was no transparent policy for distribution of work and demanded a structured system to ensure equal opportunities for all licensed surveyors.
