Friday night, the Hydraa DRF teams rescued four people who were trapped in floodwater on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) service road between Narsingi and Manchirevula.

The floodwaters surged over the service road after the gates of Osman Sagar (Gandipet) were opened.

Despite barricades indicating the route was closed, a driver attempted to cross the road in an auto trolley. The driver and four others were in the trolley when it stalled due to the rising waters, according to an official statement.

Police and Hydraa DRF personnel noticed the situation and safely rescued them, bringing them to the shore. The auto trolley was pulled out using a rope and a DRF vehicle.

On Saturday, the GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan visited a rehabilitation centre set up by GHMC at the Government High School in Golnaka Lanka, Amberpet Circle. He spoke with the flood victims and instructed officials to provide food and other basic amenities to the flood victims at the rehabilitation centres.
