Ganesh Immersion Procession Continues Peacefully in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said the Ganesh immersion procession has been continuing peacefully and on a grand scale in the city since Saturday. 

He thanked the people for their cooperation in ensuring that the procession proceeded without any untoward incidents. Sajjanar said lakhs of devotees, many of them accompanied by their families, gathered at Tank Bund, NTR Marg, Necklace Road, Liberty, Mozamjahi Market and other areas. The heavy movement of vehicles had



slowed traffic and slightly delayed the immersion process.

As the procession is likely to continue until afternoon, police and traffic personnel are working continuously to complete the immersion of idols at the earliest, he said. Traffic restrictions on major procession routes will continue. 

Due to the heavy movement of idols, general vehicles will not be allowed on Tank Bund, Necklace Road, NTR Marg, PV Statue and areas around Indira Gandhi Rotary.
