Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy on Sunday said the patients, who undergo transplantation operations, would  get free medicines and medical support under Arogyasri scheme soon. He announced that a modern building with all facilities at Gandhi Hospital would be built to house operation theatre for transplantation surgeries and to cater to the health needs of the poor. 

Lakshma Reddy made a visit to a private hospital and interacted with four



patients, who got almost second lease of life with successful heart transplantation operations under Arogyasri scheme. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the private hospitals for coming forward to promote the Arogyasri scheme.

The government will give a top priority to provide the best quality health services to the poor who are not in a position to afford quality medical treatment,  he said.
