Osmania University ranks 4th in India Today rankings

Osmania University (OU) achieved 4th rank among the top general government universities in India in the India Today ranking and 13th rank in the Outlook-ICARE Rankings 2026: Top 75 State Public Universities.

In addition, Osmania University College of Engineering bagged the 18th rank in the Outlook-ICARE Rankings 2026: Top 25 Government Engineering

OU Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram said the rankings are a reflection of the commitment, intellectual energy, and hard work of the faculty members, scholars, students, non-teaching staff, and alumni.

“This success is not just a milestone, but a powerful motivation to further elevate our standards of research, teaching, and global innovation,” he added.
