The All India Industrial Exhibition, popularly known as Numaish, will be inaugurated on January 1, next year, by Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, in the presence of other Ministers.

The 45-day annual fair will be held at the Numaish ground in Nampally. Entry to the venue is Rs 50 per person and children below 5 years of age will not be charged for entry.

Around 1050 traders from across the country will be participating in the event and showcasing their products. Visitors can select from a wide range of goods such as readymade clothes, handicrafts, footwear, imitation jewellery, cosmetics, dry fruits, home furnishings, furniture, electronic

items etc.

“There are food stalls and an arena marked for amusement. The radio station will play old songs,” said Sukesh Reddy, vice president, Exhibition Society.

The exhibition society has made arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event by deploying volunteers and security guards. The fire department is deploying fire tenders and police posting men and women constables to keep a tab on unsocial elements. A police control room will be set up at the venue.

“Adequate security measures are taken to prevent any untoward incident. The carriage way was kept wide to allow movement of emergency vehicles,” Sukesh Reddy added.
