NTPC donates electric rickshaw to Sports Coaching Foundation

The efforts of the Sports Coaching Foundation (Masab Tank) here to reach out in promoting sports and empowering under-privileged children across the State got a major fillip with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) presenting an electric rickshaw to facilitate transporting sports equipment as part of the SCF initiative to set up basic sports infrastructure in various Government Schools.

NTPC, a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise of the Government of India, has extended its support to SCF by providing an Electric Rickshaw under its CSR initiative.

Panigrahi, Executive Director – HR, NTPC, appreciated the dedicated efforts of SCF in promoting sports culture for the past 35 years. He congratulated Shri. Sai Baba, former Banker and Founding Secretary of SCF, for his selfless service, particularly his commitment towards supporting children from the most deprived sections of society.

Mr.Panigrahi expressed confidence that the Electric Rickshaw would greatly support SCF’s activities, directly and indirectly benefiting vulnerable children from government schools covered under its flagship project “Build India Through Sports.”
