The Prohibition and Excise officials and the NTF (Narcotics Task Force) busted a drug racket at the residence of a city-based doctor in Musheerabad on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the rented house of Dr John Paul and seized narcotic substances worth Rs 3 lakh.

Officials said the doctor was allegedly

allowing his residence to be used as a base for drug sales. He was arrested and cases have been registered against three others identified as Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath, who reportedly supplied the drugs from Delhi and Bengaluru.

Police said the suspects were using Dr John Paul’s house to stock and sell drugs, offering him free narcotics in return.
