Tue 07 Dec 2021, 12:37:06
The Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank (TSCAB) has said that its employees who have not taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19 will not be paid their salaries.

A decision to this effect was taken on December 4, 2021 as a preventive measure to contain the spread of the Covid-19 in the headquarters and the branches of TSCAB. The bank had also conducted special vaccination drives of the staff on June 12, 2021 and September 24, 2021 in Hyderabad for their convenience.

In a statement here on Monday, TSCAB managing director Dr Nethi Muralidhar instructed the bank staff to submit the copy of vaccination to the authorities concerned immediately. He said that the ‘the payment of salary for the month of December 2021 will be linked to furnishing of vaccination

certificates by the employees’. If not vaccinated, such staff shall submit reasons for not getting vaccinated along with supporting documents, he directed.

The employees were also informed to submit the vaccination certificates and reasons for not getting vaccinated along with supporting documents to the HRD on or before December 15, 2021. Non-compliance to these instructions shall result in stoppage of salary and it shall not be paid until vaccination certificate was produced, he stated.

The MD also sought cooperation of all the employees in achieving the target of achieving cent per cent vaccination and appealed to the staff to take the vaccine shots and those who have taken one jab to take their second dose as well.
