The protests by nursing officers at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) have entered one week with no signs of a settlement truce with the hospital management.
On Monday, before joining their regular duties, the nursing officers of NIMS held placards and participated in a peaceful protest for an hour. Within
the NIMS campus, they took out a rally, urging the hospital management to address their long pending demands.
To curb the rally, the hospital authorities had to shut down certain sections of the NIMS campus by locking the gates. The move ended up angering the nurses, who continued to remain firm on continuing their protests.
