With mercury continuing to rise in the city for the last five days, the average night temperature of 18.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Hyderabad in the early hours of Monday. The highest temperature was 29.6 degree Celsius.

The night temperature in most localities in the city was above 15 degree Celsius, with the lowest minimum temperature of 15.4 degree Celsius recorded at Rajendranagar.

According to the forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the temperatures might dip again after Wednesday. The IMD said the minimum temperature is likely to plummet to 11 degree Celsius in several parts of the city,



including Serilingampally, LB Nagar, Kapra and Falaknuma.

As per the India Meteorological Department, the city will witness foggy mornings along with surface winds of four to six kilometres per hour. Light drizzle is also likely at a few places. Looking at the situation, the officials have issued a yellow alert for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, for the city.

Meanwhile, the night temperature in several Telangana districts including Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal and Mulugu, is likely to plummet again. Several northern districts of the State might also receive light to moderate thunderstorms on December 29, 30 and 31.
