Newly-married Woman ends life due to dowry harassment in Amberpet

A 21-year-old woman, Nazneen Begum died by suicide at her house in Amberpet, allegedly due to harassment by her in-laws.

According to the police, the woman, Nazneen Begum, a resident of Golnaka, Amberpet, was married to Ayub Jabri, a resident of Amberpet, in November 2025.

“For a few days, Ayub Jabri was harassing Nazneen,



demanding money and gold ornaments. He had threatened to kill Nazneen if she did not bring the money.

The woman had informed about the demands over phone. Later in the night, she hanged herself to death in the room,” said Amberpet sub-inspector, T Kiran Kumar.

Following a complaint, a case was registered against Ayub Jabri.
