Newborn baby girl was found dumped on roadside in Mailardevpally

The body of a newborn baby girl was found dumped on the roadside at Babulreddy Nagar in Mailardevpally on Monday.

Police suspect the infant was abandoned by her parents after she died. The local residents noticed the body of the newborn and informed the police, following which the Mailardevpally police



shifted the body to the morgue.

A case was booked and is being investigated. Officials said footage from surveillance cameras in the surroundings was being examined to get more details.

They are also verifying birth records at hospitals and nursing homes nearby to identify her parents.
