A local court in Nampally has rejected the bail plea of iBomma founder Emandi Ravi. Ravi was arrested on November 15, 2025 in connection with the multi-million movie piracy and betting advertisement network involving iBomma.
Ravi sought bail in five cases booked by the Hyderabad police. The police brought to the notice of the court that chances of Ravi fleeing aboard were more as he possessed another country’s passport. After
hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the bail plea petitions.
The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested Ravi, who was wanted for running one of India’s largest movie piracy networks that leaked dozens of copyrighted South Indian films and OTT content.
Officials described the arrest as a major breakthrough that could save the Telugu film industry from losses worth thousands of crores.
