Moosarambagh bridge closed as Musi river inflows rise

With inflows into the Musi river steadily rising, the Moosarambagh bridge was closed and traffic restricted.

The HMWSSB opened ten floodgates, including eight of Osman Sagar and two of Himayat Sagar, releasing surplus water into downstream areas of the Musi. 

Consequently, traffic police



restricted movement on the Moosarambagh bridge and diverted traffic from the early hours of Friday, Malakpet traffic inspector T Ashok Kumar said to media reporters.

Local residents in Kishanbagh, Jiyaguda, Malakpet, Puranapul, MGBS/CBS, Chaderghat, and Golnaka along the Musi river were cautioned about the heavy inflows by the HMWSSB.
