Mancherial: MLC Malka Komuraiah called on Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday, representing the problems of the teaching fraternity and advocating for urgent resolution of their financial grievances.

During the meeting, Komuraiah apprised Vikramarka of the mounting distress among teachers caused by prolonged delays in the disbursement of medical reimbursement claims, surrender leave encashments, and other pending bills. He appealed to Vikramarka for immediate clearance of these dues.

Similarly, Komuraiah urged the government to expedite the issuance of orders for the sanction of five pending Dearness Allowance (DA) installments. He also emphasized the need for prompt disclosure of the

Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report and called for its implementation with a more favorable fitment than what was previously granted by former administrations.

Highlighting the commitment of teachers and field staff, the MLC further demanded the government for timely honorarium payments for enumerators and supervisors who diligently conducted the integrated family survey last year. He stressed the importance of taking proactive decisions on various unresolved issues concerning teachers and the education sector at large.

He expressed confidence that the deputy Chief Minister would take a sympathetic and decisive approach to redress these long-standing concerns in the interest of the teaching community.
