Microbiology Day 2025 celebrated at Karimnagar Women’s Degree College

International Microbiology Day-2025 was celebrated at Government Degree College for Women, Karimnagar (Autonomous) on Wednesday.

It was jointly organised by the Departments of Microbiology, Botany and Zoology. The faculty and students enthusiastically participated and provided a valuable message on the services provided by



microorganisms to the society.

Participating as chief guest in the programme, the college principal, Prof D Varalakshmi explained that microorganisms play an important role in our way of life. Microorganisms were present in every corner of nature. They would play vital role in human health, ecological balance and the development of research, she said.
