Maulana Ali Quadri booked for cheating cancer patient

A case has been registered against Maulana Ali Quadri for allegedly cheating a cancer patient and collecting Rs 2 lakh on pretext of arranging money from the CM’s Relief Fund.

A cancer patient from Bahadurpura had lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police on Tuesday stating that Ali Quadri took Rs 2 lakh from him for arranging money from the



CMRF for his treatment. The amount was taken in November last year.

When the man failed to arrange the fund for treatment, the victim demanded the money back but Ali Quadri refused to return it, said the police.

Based on the complaint, the Banjara Hills police booked a case and are investigating.
