The MANUU Students Collective on Friday demanded the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) administration immediately submit a detailed project report outlining land use, infrastructure expansion and hostel plans. Students wanted the university to make the reports publicly available for access by all stakeholders.
The move by students comes in view of some media reports suggesting that Revenue department officials and Rangareddy district administration officials recently visited the university and held discussions with registrar on the land
issue.
Citing reports, students said the district administration indicated withdrawal of earlier notice on resumption of the university if a written explanation is submitted.
“Transparency is non-negotiable. Any compromise, concealment, or betrayal of students’ interests in this matter will not be tolerated,” students said.
Earlier, the State government served a notice on the university seeking explanation why it should not resume 50 out of 200 acres of land that was allotted to the university for rules violation.
