A man allegedly murdered his younger brother and his four‑month‑pregnant wife over a financial dispute involving Rs 7,000 at their house in Noorkhan Bazar on Monday evening. Mirchowk police identified the victims as Aqhil Khan, an electrician, and his wife Ajmera Begum.
The accused, Adil Khan, a cab driver, had lent his brother ₹7,000 seven months
ago. Frequent quarrels over the debt culminated in the fatal attack. Police said Adil went to Aqhil’s house around 6 pm demanding repayment.
When Aqhil said he could return the money in a few days, a heated argument ensued. Adil, who had carried a knife, stabbed Aqhil multiple times in the stomach after slitting his throat, killing him instantly.
