Man ends life in Kukatpally over online betting losses

A 37-year-old private employee died by suicide at his residence in Kukatpally after reportedly suffering heavy financial losses in online betting applications on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Venkateshwara Reddy, had been living with his family at Prema Nilayam in Vivekananda Nagar for the past five years.

According to



preliminary information, Reddy had incurred significant losses while using online betting apps and was under severe financial stress. Unable to cope with the mounting financial difficulties, he allegedly hanged himself at his house.

Police reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy. Kukatpally police are investigating.
