Man dies by suicide days after wife’s death in Hyderabad

In a tragic incident, a man allegedly died by suicide just days after performing the last rites of his wife, who had taken her own life earlier this month in Shamshabad.

According to police, A.S. Srikanth (37) and his wife Swapna (34), natives of Gollapalli, were living separately as Srikanth had moved to Dubai two years ago for employment.

Swapna, who was staying alone, died by



suicide at her residence on June 2 after reportedly becoming upset with life. After learning about her death, Srikanth rushed back from Dubai and completed the funeral rituals on Sunday.

Family members said he was deeply distressed by the personal loss and was struggling to cope with her memories. Later, he allegedly died by suicide by hanging on Monday, in the same room where his wife had ended her life.
