Man Attacks Wife with Axe over Fidelity Suspicion in Sangareddy

Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, a private employee, K Durgaiah slashed his wife Veeramani?s leg with an axe at their residence at Gangojipet village in Sangareddy district on Wednesday night. 

Doctors said the condition of Veeramani is serious. The couple used to frequently quarrel over the same issue. A similar quarrel took place between them on Thursday and in a fit of rage Durgaiah attacked Veeramani with an axe and



slashed her leg.

Upon hearing her screams, the neighbours alerted her son Harish who rushed to the house and shifted Veeramani to a nearby hospital in Sangareddy district.

Following doctors advice, the family members admitted her to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. Based on a complaint lodged by Harish, the police booked a case against Durgaiah under relevant provisions of BNS and took up investigation.
