Man attacks parents with sharp weapon in Rajendranagar

A man attacked his parents with a sharp-edged weapon over some family issues at Rajendranagar on Wednesday night.

According to the police, the man Raghupal Reddy stayed in an apartment at Gandipet along with his parents, father Ravinder Reddy and mother Bharati. For a few months, the man has been suffering from mental health-related issues and was regularly quarrelling with his parents.

On Wednesday night, the neighbours heard loud noises from Raghupal’s house and



alerted the police. On rushing to the spot, the police found that the couple, Ravinder and Bharati, were lying in a pool of blood in the house. They were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.

The police who took Raghupal into custody said that the man is suffering from mental health-related issues and is undergoing treatment. He had attacked his parents with a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in life-threatening injuries to them. The Rajendranagar police registered a case and are investigating.
