Mallanna Launches Telangana Rajyadhikara Party at Taj Krishna

MLC Teenmar Mallanna on Tuesday announced the launch of a new political outfit, the Telangana Rajyadhikara Party, at an event held at Taj Krishna Hotel. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mallanna said he regards September 17 as a landmark day for the Backward Classes (BCs) and stated that the party was formed to provide a political platform for the BC community, which constitutes a majority in



Telangana.

Mallanna was suspended from the Congress on March 1 for alleged anti-party activities, after he criticised and burned the caste survey report released by the state government in February. 

A well-known Telugu journalist since the early 2000s, Mallanna rose to prominence with his satirical takes on socio-political issues. He joined the Congress in November 2023, ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections.
