Nalgonda: A major fire that broke out at a primary health centre in Nidmanoor saw healthcare infrastructure and equipment reduced to ashes on a large scale on Sunday.
The fire accident was attributed to an electrical short circuit. Refrigerators, beds, medicines, valuable files, computers, and printers were all gutted
as the flames engulfed the building before the fire tenders and the police could reach the place. Deputy DMHO Kesa Ravi visited the health centre to assess the extent of the damage. According to medical officer Dr Aravind, further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause.
