Luxury Car Hits Electric Pole And Flips In Filmnagar, Driver Surrenders

A luxury car overturned in Filmnagar under Jubilee Hills police station limits on Friday after hitting an electric pole, leading to heavy traffic congestion and disruption in vehicular movement for some time. 

The impact caused damage to public property and blocked traffic. This is the second incident involving a high-end car; last week a car had struck a couple on the Durgam Cheruvu bridge, resulting in the death of the man.

Police identified the driver in Friday’s accident as Akash and booked him for negligent driving and



causing damage to public property. 

The accused initially left the vehicle at the scene following the accident. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot, cleared the vehicle, and regulated traffic to restore normal movement. 

The accused in the evening approached the police and surrendered. He reportedly told the police that he lost control of the car, leading to the incident. Police also conducted checks to ascertain whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol but ruled out drunk driving in this case.
