Lorry rams auto-rickshaw in Mancherial, 2 killed and 4 injured

Two women were killed on the spot, while four others sustained injuries after a lorry rammed into an auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling in Naspur on Monday morning.

Police said that Atthili Soundarya and Chintakunta Laxmi received fatal injuries after the lorry crashed into the auto-rickshaw. The injured persons shifted to a government general hospital in Mancherial. Medical condition of a woman and man was said to



be critical.

The victims were from Gudipelli and Ponnaram villages in Mandamarri mandal. They were employed at a shopping mall in Mancherial town and were on their way to work when the mishap occurred.

Eye witnesses said that the driver of the three-wheeler suddenly attempted a U turn after reaching Naspur. A lorry coming from the opposite lane collided with the auto-rickshaw leading to the fatal crash.
