The security personnel at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) have recovered one live bullet from the checked-in baggage of a passenger on Wednesday.

The passenger, identified as Ravi Kumar (32), a resident of Kolkata, landed in a flight here that was again scheduled to travel from Hyderabad to Kochi.

As per available information, during

the baggage screening, officials found live ammunition. Upon inquiry, Ravi could not produce a valid arms or ammunition licence.

He reportedly told investigators that he had been carrying it unknowingly, the statement which is now being verified.

The passenger and the seized live round were handed over to the RGI Airport police for further action.
